Movie Overview For Gravity
Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock), a brilliant medical engineer on her first Shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney) in command of his last flight before retiring. But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The Shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone-tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness of space. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left. But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expance of spaceâ¦TagLine Gravity

Review For Gravity
This isn't just the best-looking film of the year, it's one of the most awe-inspiring achievements in the history of special-effects cinema.Tom Huddleston-Time Out
This is truly awesome.
William Goss-Film.com
I haven't yet fully recovered.
Stephanie Zacharek-Village Voice
A master class in fluid camerawork, bold, unfussy imagery and special effects that put most recent Hollywood blockbusters to shame.
Jon Frosch-The Atlantic
If the film past is dead, Gravity shows us the glory of cinema's future. It thrills on so many levels. And because Cuarón is a movie visionary of the highest order, you truly can't beat the view.
Richard Corliss-TIME Magazine
At once the most realistic and beautifully choreographed film ever set in space, Gravity is a thrillingly realized survival story spiked with interludes of breath-catching tension and startling surprise.
Todd McCarthy-Hollywood Reporter
Both a technical marvel and a high-tension epic, Gravity is grounded by two perfectly-pitched performances, and launched into the stratosphere by Cuaron's expansive ambition.
Michael Leader-Film4
A staggering achievement of the visual form and a gripping survival tale to boot, Gravity is the tour de force film experience that Cuarón's career has always been building towards.
Sam Woolf-We Got This Covered
Every once in a while, a film comes along that pushes the form to such an extent that it throws down the gauntlet to other filmmakers, daring them to be as audacious in their craft. This is one of those.
Chris Bumbray-JoBlo's Movie Emporium
Gravity is the film that cinema was born to make. It echoes the dreams of Meliés writ on a modern giant canvas, yet does so with such impeccable restraint that like the lead characters it will leave you breathless.
Jason Gorber-Twitch
Gravity is important, relentless and, let's not undersell this, completely entertaining.
Jordan Hoffman-ScreenCrush
... with 'Gravity,' [Alfonso Cuaron] seems to have shed the bonds of Earth, and we are fortunate enough to be able to follow him into the unknown.
Drew McWeeny-HitFix
So it's not a very good movie, but it is a really good spectacle.
Walter Chaw-Film Freak Central
'Gravity' tries so hard to add emotional heft to its simple survival story, but its attempts are labored, unconvincing, and frankly downright dumb. This gorgeous, exciting film didn't need them.
Eugene Novikov-Film Blather
This is seat-chewingly tense, virtuoso cinema that explores and exploits space as never before, with 3-D so convincing the audience lurches and gasps as though on a fairground ride.
Kate Muir-Times [UK]
The film's raison d'etre is its considerable technical prowess, enhanced by 3D but in a determinedly ungimmicky way.
Derek Malcolm-This is London
For sheer transference of experience upon the audience, I can think of no film quite like it.
Guy Lodge-HitFix
Gravity is very much an action adventure film, one very occasionally more meditative than most, but it's unashamed in its desire to thrill you.
Oliver Lyttelton-The Playlist
With nothingness pressing in on all sides, in a place where the grip of someone else's hand is all that keeps you from the void, life really does seem like a miracle.
Robbie Collin-Daily Telegraph
A brilliantly tense and involving account of two stricken astronauts; a howl in the wilderness that sucks the breath from your lungs.
Xan Brooks-Guardian [UK]
Cuaron's exhilarating and often spectacular 3-D film is a real pleasure, driven by top-notch lead performance from Sandra Bullock and George Clooney as well as some seriously cool special effects.
Mark Adams-Screen International
